Kolkata, a city which has preserved its simplicity in best possible way. It is a state rich with history, art & literature and cultural heritage and entitled to be the ‘city of joy’; it will definitely leave its mark in your heart. The moment I entered the city I was excited to see all hath rickshaw, yellow ambassador taxis all around. The weather was hot and humid but unexpected rain paid the visit daily. The city is very slow in comparison to Delhi or Mumbai. And yes you don’t have any night life in Kolkata, it is difficult to find food post 10 p.m in Kolkata. So beware of the time when you go there. Another thing which attracted me or increased my curiosity was all the houses and balcony’s had grills. Each place was caged, there was no open balcony or terrace. And I still wonder why.
